As Product Managers, we regularly review data and monitor our KPIs.

Have you ever found yourself monitoring some data, let’s say the number of customers adding products to a shopping basket, and overnight that number doubles?

Monday it’s about 1,000. Tuesday it’s about 1,000, but Wednesday it’s about 2,000.

Twyman’s Law tells us that the most likely cause of this sudden increase is a problem with the data rather than an actual 100% increase in customers adding items to their basket.
