As a writer, I jot down notes on things as they pop into my head because at some point they might be useful to turn into a post of some kind.

On most occasions, the main point is supported by a bit of context so that I can figure out why the point was interesting in the first place. It’s usually a link to an interesting article or a reference to how the thought came into being such as “interesting in relation to a conversation with the CEO on subject Y”.

For “Can you be too reactive?” there are no notes whatsoever which made me question what on earth I must have been thinking of at the time.

So I took a look back at my diary for when the note was made and there are two meetings that might have triggered the thought:

  1. A bi-weekly KPI Review meeting

  2. A product team roadmap planning session

And here’s why either of those meetings might have triggered a thought about reactivity …
