Here’s the definition of a Growth Product Manager (GPM) provided by ProductPlan:

A growth product manager sometimes referred to as a “product growth manager,” focuses on improving a business metric or goal (e.g., acquisition, activation, retention, referral, or revenue) by removing barriers to value.

From this, you can picture the day of the GPM:

  • Assess the key metrics to be grown

  • Brainstorm hypotheses about why it’s gone down or how to sneak it up another percentage point.

  • Validate the hypothesis

  • Plan and implement the action

  • Repeat
