We rented a converted stables during the summer holidays and spent a week in Somerset in the South West of England, close to where they hold the Glastonbury music festival.
Unfortunately for me, I got ill and had to spend a couple of days ill in bed whilst the family went on days out to the beach and had lovely lunches.
Stuck in the the stables with no Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Disney+ I was left with normal terrestrial TV full of awful day-time programmes or I could raid the DVD collection that was present within the rental.
I plumped for Darkest Hour, the account of UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s early days leading the country in the early period of WWII. A bit of light watching!
Why am I telling you this? Well, there’s a quote that gets attributed frequently to Churchill which goes:
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts”
This quote applies heavily to the world of product management, although there’s also something about it that many people don’t know.
