The phrase “move fast and break things” was the internal motto at Facebook and was created by Mark Zuckerberg as an influencer in decision-making at the organization.

If you move fast you’ll be able to try new things and be innovating, however, the consequence of moving fast is that sometimes you’ll break some things along the way but even that’s an opportunity to learn so go for it.

You can understand the logic, especially when at the time the up-and-coming internet giants were competing against some of the slow-moving technology behemoths.

However, for all the benefits that doing this has, there are a number of considerations that mean that it might not be the best approach and here’s why …
