We now have a bookshop!
Books get mentioned in many of the posts on this site, so we thought why not make them available to everyone nice and easily. We also heard about a great movement to support small booksellers in the US, and with our bookshop we get a chance to do both.
What's in our bookshop?
You can find our bookshop at https://bookshop.org/shop/GettingStartedinProduct and you'll find books grouped by:
* Product - work specifically related to product management and making great products
* Data - books looking at understanding the importance of data and how to go about analysing your date
* Business leaders - for works that look at some of the world's most successful business leaders and the companies they've built.
* Rob's reading list - what Rob from Getting Started in Product has been reading, which might be a bit more eclectic than the other categories!
Why do we have a bookshop?
For two reasons really. Firstly, to highlight the books we think might be useful to the Getting Started in Product community. These are books that provide some insight that will support an individual's transition into a product role.
Secondly, we're an affiliate of Bookshop.org, which means, if books are purchased through our bookshop then we'll receive some income from the sale. This income helps support the Getting Started in Product community and allow us to keep producing content that can be shared for free.
Who can buy from our Bookshop?
At the moment, our bookshop is focused on our US audience, so you'll need to be in the US to benefit. As time progresses, and if demand dictates, we'll see how we can support our community from other locations access books that we believe can support the transition into a product role.
All about Bookshop.org
Bookshop.org is an online bookstore with a mission to financially support local, independent bookstores. They provide opportunities for smaller bookstores to have an online presence, and for their customers to support them, whilst also giving back to the wider bookseller community by donating a large percentage of their profits to the book retailer community.
