If you spend any time reading about a career in product management you’ll come across descriptions that paint a picture that the product manager is “CEO of the product”.
This gives the idea that the product manager has some elevated status and power that allows them to drive the product forward. It proposes that the product manager is in a position to create the product's vision and will be responsible for the success or failure of the product.
