Like you, I’ve been there.
You’re minding your own business, getting on with something super important and amazingly interesting (!) and someone interrupts you with “Sorry to bother you, but you’re the product expert. Can you help me understand how X works?”
You can’t really say no can you? You’re the “product expert” after all, so you have to provide the assistance that’s needed to help your colleague move past their problem.
If only there was a less inconvenient way for your colleague to get the answer they want.
